frequently asked questions    Walk.Talk.Connect.

Is there an age limit to participate in the event?

No. It's a family friendly event. But you must be 21 or older to enjoy a tasty brew by Excelsior Brewing Company.  If you are not, they have other refreshing alcohol-free options, too.

Is Parking available? and how much will it cost?

Free Parking is available in the lot directly behind Excelsior Brewing Company off 3rd street.  There is another lot across the street (on the north side of Water Street) off 3rd street behind Patisserie.  You can also find street parking around downtown Excelsior, too.

Can I walk with my dog and bring him/her to the After Party?

Absolutely!  Well behaved dogs ON LEASH are welcomed but must bring their own disposable baggies (if you know what I mean). And by bringing your pooch, you acknowledge we are not responsible for your dog's behavior on the trail or at the After Party.

Is my registration fee part of the donation to Courage Kenny?

No.  The registration fee is to help us cover the costs of the event.  We are non-profit organization, so we cannot claim any income from the registration fees.  Therefore, any overages will be donated to Courage Kenny.

Can I make a donation at the event?

It's best if you make your donation ahead of time, or the week after the event online. This will ensure you receive a tax receipt from Courage Kenny for your records.  While we will be accepting cash and check donations on the day of the event we will not be able to provide you with a tax receipt on the spot.  So consider this before you decide how to donate.

Is my registration/ticket transferable if I cannot make it?

Yes. But whomever checks in on event day with your ticket will need to sign a Liability & Waiver Agreement.

Can I bring a friend who is not registered ahead of time?

Please do! We will be accepting registrations the day of the event in the form of cash or checks made out: WalkTalkConnect.

What can I bring/not bring to the event?

Bring anything that can fit your purse or pockets.  We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

Will our walk be timed?

No.  This is not a race.  Just a fun walk with old friends and new friends along the trail around Lake Minnetonka.

What if it's raining the day of the event?

We'll be Walking! So bring your poncho, rain jacket, slicker..whatever you call it and be ready to walk!  You can also opt to hang at the brewery instead and play a game of Jenga, Battleship or darts (they've got it all!)!

Where can I reach the organizer if I have any further questions?
